Tina began Ai Kahu in 2016, as a means to further the culinary industry, and help preserve the integrity of the industry she loves. As a chef, and educator, Tina has worked for 15 plus years for many restaurants and hotels such as: The Ritz Carlton Hotel, The PATINA Group, Chef Mavros, Roy's, Le Cordon Bleu, Kapiolani Community College and Maui Community College.
The name Ai Kahu was chosen as an extensions of this mission as: "ai" is the Hawaiian word for food, and "kahu" the Hawaiian word for guardian.
